What a Beautiful Relaton

ART WARSAW MIODOWA

At the Art Warsaw Miodowa fair CRAFTICA Gallery presented OP Objects by Pani Jurek.
The presentation titled “What a Beautiful Relation” by PANI JUREK STUDIO explores the world of optical phenomena through interactive ceramic objects that respond to light, color, form, and human perception. These OP pieces function as instruments for experimenting with vision, creating dynamic compositions in which the observer becomes an essential component. Their subtle interconnections highlight the fluid boundary between reality and perception. Central to the exhibition was the kinetic ceramic partition OP WALL, alongside other works that merge abstraction with hints of figuration, forming ever-changing relationships and meanings. Together, the eight presented objects invited viewers to experience seeing as a sensual, shifting, and co-created process, deeply rooted in materiality and the artistic dialogue with post-war visual avant-garde traditions.

“A View for Two Eyes” – an in situ work installed in the window dividing the exhibition rooms during ART WARSAW, created specifically for this location. Although the Studio’s objects usually tend toward abstraction and simplification, this time it is two sketches of the same view from the artist’s studio in Grójec that have been placed on rotating tiles. Fragmented into parts, the drawings-by altering the relationships between elements of the set-generate new meanings. By delineating temporary spaces, they point to the constant movement of particles that build our experience. In the background, another work from the OP wall series is visible. Both works enter into a spatial dialogue with one another. Following Oskar Hansen’s theory of the Open Form, the work invites the viewer to experience seeing as a variable, co-created process.
